Existence theorems for hairy black holes in

متن کاملClassical Yang-Mills Black Hole Hair in anti-de Sitter Space
The properties of hairy black holes in Einstein-Yang-Mills (EYM) theory are reviewed, focusing on spherically symmetric solutions. In particular, in asymptotically anti-de Sitter space (adS) stable black hole hair is known to exist for su(2) EYM. We review recent work in which it is shown that stable hair also exists in su(N) EYM for arbitrary N, so that there is no upper limit on how much stab...
متن کاملOn the existence of soliton and hairy black hole solutions of su(N) Einstein-Yang-Mills theory with a negative cosmological constant
We study the existence of soliton and black hole solutions of fourdimensional su(N) Einstein-Yang-Mills theory with a negative cosmological constant. We prove the existence of non-trivial solutions for any integer N , with N − 1 gauge field degrees of freedom. In particular, we prove the existence of solutions in which all the gauge field functions have no zeros. For fixed values of the paramet...
متن کاملBlack strings in (4 + 1)−dimensional Einstein-Yang-Mills theory
We study two classes of static uniform black string solutions in a (4 + 1)-dimensional SU(2) EinsteinYang-Mills model. These configurations possess a regular event horizon and corresponds in a 4−dimensional picture to axially symmetric black hole solutions in an Einstein-Yang-Mills-Higgs-U(1)-dilaton theory. In this approach, one set of solutions possesses a nonzero magnetic charge, while the o...
متن کاملRotating hairy black holes.
We construct stationary black-hole solutions in SU(2) Einstein-Yang-Mills theory which carry angular momentum and electric charge. Possessing nontrivial non-Abelian magnetic fields outside their regular event horizon, they represent nonperturbative rotating hairy black holes.
